I've been eating here since 2011 and honestly it's gone kinda down hill. The food is just not as good anymore and some of the staff is just down right rude. The girl at the counter got my order wrong and when I took it back to the counter the guy was like this is what's on your recipe and just looked at me.. thank God she intervenes and said ooh no I'm so sorry I hit the wrong button and fixed my plate. The guy didn't even apologise. The guy was just something else.. I had asked for fried rice and steak when they gave me steamed rice and shrimp. The part that really got to me tho was that she scraped the shrimp back in the mix they had to serve to other customers when I had already touched it. Just made me cringe.

My husband & I went in for lunch and he ordered a steak bowl and asked if he could have it without mushrooms. Mike, our cashier actually said no because they don't do special orders. It would slow things down. Understandable - EXCEPT there was no one behind us. Then we noticed the cook finishing up a large batch of steak and asked we could have some of that before he added the mushrooms. Guess what? Still NO because then everyone would be asking for special orders. Guess what else? There was STILL no one behind us.! What REALLY REALLY makes me mad is I didn't walk out. I'm so mad at myself. My only excuse is I was feeling really bad. Can I give negative stars?

This place was pretty good! We went as a group for lunch on Friday, and I had no idea what to expect. The sushi is a bit expensive, and they don't seem to have a lunch special (like a $13/three rolls sort of deal) so I grabbed the angus steak yakisoba with rice. Everything was quickly made and delicious. I think I waited about five minutes for my number to be called, which was no big deal. The prices are a bit steep for lunch, but the quantity of food is HUGE! I mean, a big portion of noodles, a decent amount of veggies (mushrooms, onions, zucchini), probably a good six ounces of steak, and a large portion of fried rice! For $12-ish, after tip, that's not bad. They've got a bunch of sauces that you can use for dipping, but the only one I really liked was their ginger sauce. The white and spicy white sauces weren't very good, in my opinion. Also, get their early, because the place fills up quickly, and you'll be standing in line, waiting to order.

I can get much better sushi at the same price point several other places in North Charleston. Not sure it's worth the time savings.

You get what you pay for! Extremely fast and cheap, NOT delicious. It isn't awful, but if you want good sushi go elsewhere if you have the time and money, because even buying daily made rolls at a super market or commissary are far better!

NOT fast and not tasty either. I got a really simple sushi roll and it took about 15 minutes for them to make! I was 1 of 2 customers, so they were not busy at all. Also it is probably the worst tasting sushi I've ever had. Overall, extremely dissatisfied.

In theory, this is a great idea. The execution left me a little disappointed. Seasons of Japan has quick hibachi style meals and sushi to go in a very casual environment. Sushi is made to order, served in to-go containers and all under $7/roll. I thought this was awesome. We ordered a few rolls to try, including a spicy tuna and others with tempura shrimp in them. The tempura rolls were pretty delish, but I cannot speak for the quality of the tuna in the spicy tuna... we had one or two bites and decided not to eat any more of it. Overall, it was just an okay experience. Next time, I may try the hibachi just to get a full understanding of what they have to offer, but will be a little more picky with my sushi order.

I got the Angus Steak combo and it was a lot of food for what I paid. The steak quality wasnt as good as what I have had at other Fast-food style Japanese joints but it wasnt bad either. They skimp a little on veggies (which were a bit under cooked anyhow) but they give you tons of rice. They do not accept orders over the phone but their online ordering is quick and painless. The dining area is a bit unkempt and has the apearance of a micro food court. Go here to give it the old college try but dont have high expectations.

Close to a 3 star but some points are just lacking. I tried the chicken combo, which came with teriyaki chicken veggies and rice. The chicken was all dark meat and while tender the teriyaki was very salty. The veggies only consisted of some onion and zucchini but the onions were undercooked which gave it a raw taste. You get your sauce in to go packs, nothing special here the white sauce is white sauce. Overall its not terrible for an 8 buck lunch but I have had better.

Don't expect authentic and top shelf...it's a decent little place that will kill the hunger pain with style. "white sauce" or "spicy white sauce" , yeah....I'm assuming it's made with lots of mayo. Although it's not for me, I observed people drowning their teriyaki bowls in that stuff and the subsequent eyes rolling back in head saying "OMG it's so good". Didn't have that affect on me. I'm told there's a place in the same strip mall that offers the same product but for 3x the price. So, it's a win!

We were extremely disappointed with the chicken and steak. The chicken did not even seem real. Almost sponge like and totally processed. We were starving and we could only eat the rice. And white sauce comes in packets.

This plays is fast food Japanese. The focus seems to be on quantity not quality. I ordered the steak and shrimp with miso, of which was very underwhelming. For the $13.26 price tag I definitely expected more, but this place was packed, surprisingly, which is most likely do to its location. The food itself was not bad just not great quality, steak was cooked to death and shrimp were frozen, and I definitely do not recommend the miso here, you could keep a salt water fish alive in it, LOL! All kidding aside driving ten minutes is not worth it, so I will never be back here.

The concept of Season of Japan are fascinating. I mean who does not love fast Japanese food. But in reality this restaurant is nothing special. It is an average Asian restaurant that predicates its meals on speed and not quality. Yet, the so-so quality is effective for extinguishing hunger. This restaurant has a great location across from the movies and inside a shopping plaza. I always find myself stopping at this place because I am always near this restaurant. The dining area is rather small for an Asian restaurant but there is a sit down area. They also have different sauces. (White Sauce, Spicy White Sauce, Ginger Based Sauce and Soy Sauce) All the sauces are delicious. They seem to give you a lot of sauce for ordering take out as well. My favorite meal from this place is a Steak and Shrimp combo bowl. The portions are huge. They also have decent prices too. This place is always consistently decent and I will continue to go there for that reason alone.

Quick, delicious, and affordable! Sure it's not your Japanese steakhouse but it's some of the best "fast" Japanese you can find on the area. With a menu that has new creations added to keep things fresh, a friendly staff, and a great quality of quickly available food you can't go wrong. It's definitely worth a stop to check it out!

I've been coming here since it was kyotos express..the food is just fantastic and a pretty reasonable price. No one makes fried rice like this place and the white sauce is a must! I always recommend this place!

I got the shrimp bowl and it was delicious! I added the white sauce, spicy white sauce, and teriyaki sauce. They really helped with the meal. The green tea is amazing. The restaurant is very clean and had plenty of seating. The staff was very friendly.

I'm a big fan of this place. One great thing is you can order and pay online and have your food AND white sauce ready to pick up quickly. I almost always order online to ensure I get my order quickly but today I ordered in and it was a short wait. Just not any place to sit since they were busy for lunch. This place is very clean now there can be some slobs that don't know how to clean up after themselves but I'm just guessing they left a tip because they assumed the tables were being bused by the server who did not take their order at the table and not the counter. Let me digress. Atmosphere is friendly and as far as "fast food" goes accurate only issues I've ever had were my own mistakes on the Oder and they've fixed it usually. Food is good if it's busy its fresher because nothing stand around long enough to get stale. They have made quite a few changes most of which are to help the customer get in and out quickly. Like the new white sauce packaging and the utensil dispenser definitely legit from Japan I would say. Good job guys.

I have been there time and time again and it is consistently fresh. They always serve good sized portions - you won't go hungry! My favorite dish is the bento with chicken breast. The sushi is really really fresh and prepared made to order. I was actually surprised at how good it was. The management and staff was really friendly and accommodating. Will definitely keep coming back.
